ARCHIVES SPECIALIST

As a ARCHIVES SPECIALIST, you will:
-Prepare, issue, and monitor routine team instructions and procedures. Provides supervisor with information relevant to the adjustment of performance standards. -Analyze the team structure and procedures and recommends to the supervisor possible improvements in workflow and methods of work. -Plan and control the use of space for accessioning and storing records. -Coordinate with IRS personnel; plan space requirements for incoming IRS records; analyze changing space requirements for these records; determine the need for and plan relocation of IRS records; and assure the successful movement of these records. -Act as liaison with program officials of other agencies to ensure that agency needs are met. You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. To be qualified for this position at the GS-09 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Utilizing a wide range of systems or databases to search beyond readily accessible material to locate, analyze, index, and manage records. AND -Performing record maintenance and preservation in adherence with archival principles, procedures and record keeping practices. OR Masters degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or a LLB or JD, in a related field. OR You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 18 semester hours (27 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-9, you must have been at the GS-7level for 52 weeks.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
