The incumbents will be responsible for conducting investigations to determine the cause and mode of death, and the identity of decedents in cases under the Coroner's jurisdiction.
Additionally, the Deputy Coroners will be responsible for ordering autopsies or requesting other services, testifying in court, preparing reports, and performing other related work as required.
The most competitive candidates will possess experience in a mortuary, medical environment, or law enforcement/military agency.
Additionally, candidates that possess volunteer experience with the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner's Bureau are also desired.
